CLEARFIELD – Following four hours of deliberations, a jury found a 77-year-old Clearfield County man guilty of sexually assaulting two young girls.

The three day trial of Moses Norris of Westover ended Friday with a guilty verdict on 24 of 28 counts. Among the charges Norris faced were rape of a child, attempted rape of a child, indecent assault, and corruption of minors.

Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers commented after the decision that, “Justice was served because these girls came forward and spoke up about the terrible acts committed against them. It is never easy for victims to come forward, but the strength of these girls is commendable.”

Norris is now in the Clearfield County Jail. His sentencing will take place within the next 60 days.
