CLEARFIELD – Two cases alleging the sexual assault of underage girls by a 60-year-old Clearfield County man will be going to trial.
According to court documents, Tom Custred of Houtzdale faces accusations of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 2018, and another pre-teen girl in 2017.
On Wednesday, Custred waived his right to a preliminary hearing in both cases. He is being held in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Court records show that Custred has a 25-year history of facing sexual assault allegations. He was arrested for the alleged rape of a teen girl multiple times in 1999.
