Clearfield County man awaits trial for child pornography and sexually assaulting young girl

Clearfield – A sexual assault and child pornography case against a Clearfield County man is heading to county court.

28-year-old Justin Sypin of Allport waived his preliminary hearing rights on Wednesday.

Sypin is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in the summer of 2021, as well as sending inappropriate pictures and messages to several underage girls through social media.

State Police began investigating Sypin in April and seized his phones and electronic devices in June.

Sypin has admitted to police that he molested the 10- year-old girl on several occasions and sent more than a dozen sexual pictures to girls he knew were under age 17.

Sypin awaits trial in the Clearfield County Jail. His bail is set at $150,000.
