Clearfield County Landscaper Faces Theft Charges

SHARE NOW

CURWENSVILLE – Charges of theft by deception and failure to perform services have been filed against a Clearfield County landscaper.

According to Curwensville Police, 40-year-old Kenneth Edwards III, the alleged owner of D and D Lawn Care, accepted a $5,700 advance payment from a couple for a retaining wall project, but he never did any work.

Police say Edwards agreed earlier this year to take on the project, but within a month started giving excuses about delays involving the delivery of materials. When police contacted Edwards, he reportedly said he wanted to make things right but couldn’t as he was serving 30 days in jail.

Edwards has a preliminary hearing on the charges scheduled for September 11th.
