CLEARFIELD – A man is behind bars after allegedly kidnapping a juvenile girl on Sunday.
After reports of the alleged kidnapping came in, police were able to perform a traffic stop on a suspect’s car.
After taking the man, later identified as 24 year-old Christopher Swoope, into custody the victim was located in a nearby residence.
After investigation police discovered that the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by Swoope and was planning on taking her to South Carolina.
Swoope was taken to the Clearfield County Jail where he faces a slew of different charges.
