CLEARFIELD – After more than an hour of deliberation last week, a Clearfield County jury returned a “guilty of rape” verdict against a Curwensville man.
According to court documents, 54-year-old Douglas Albert was found guilty on six felony charges.
Albert had been accused of assaulting and raping a woman at a Curwensville apartment.
Judge Paul Cherry revoked Albert’s bail following the verdict, so Albert will remain in the Clearfield County Jail until his sentencing is scheduled.
It is expected that prosecutors will request a 20-to-40 year prison sentence for Albert.
