BROOKVILLE – The recent announcement of the changing dates and expanded length for the Clearfield County Fair has created a conflict with neighboring Jefferson County.
But the Fair Authority of Jefferson County says their event has been held the third week of July for more than 50 years, and the tradition will remain the same in 2024.
Next year’s schedule is for the Clearfield County Fair to run from July 12th through July 20th, while the Jefferson County Fair is slated to take place from July 14th through July 20th.
In a released statement, the Jefferson County Fair Authority expressed disappointment in the decision of the Clearfield County Fair and hopes that the overlap will not be harmful.
But, the authority says, the decision will ‘no doubt’ have an impact on vendors and livestock sales at both fairs.
