Clearfield, PA – The 160th Clearfield County Fair that was originally scheduled for Aug. 2 through 8 has now officially been canceled because of COVID-19 safety concerns and regulations.
The Fair and Park Board released a statement, saying they know it’s disappointing but they cannot move forward with planning the fair.
There is still a limit of 250 people for large gatherings in Pennsylvania, and the fair regularly exceeds that even on its slowest days. Because it does not appear that that regulation will be lifted in the near future, the fair board says it’s impossible to prepare for the fair as usual.
They are hoping to still hold some smaller events throughout the year.
