CLEARFIELD – Today could be the conclusion of the trial for a Clearfield County man charged for his role in a 36-year-old woman’s deadly overdose of fentanyl.

According to court documents, 41-year-old Trevor Bloom of West Decatur is accused of supplying the drugs that resulted in death, and involuntary manslaughter.

Two years ago, EMS and police were called to a Clearfield residence where Lindsey LaBorde was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead a short time later at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Bloom told police that LaBorde had tried heroin for the first time. But a State Police forensic scientist testified Monday that drug residue at the scene tested positive as fentanyl.

In an interview with investigators earlier this year, Bloom allegedly said that he was the only one to blame for LaBorde’s death.

President Judge Fredric Ammerman is presiding over the case at the Clearfield County Courthouse.
