CLEARFIELD – Due to a recent ruling by the State Supreme Court, the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office will no longer offer DUI cases to participate in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

This program allowed first time offenders for non-violent drug or alcohol charges to avoid conviction by completing rehabilitation programs.

Now after the State Supreme Court ruled that if someone went through the program all traces of the DUI would be expunged from their record and cannot be accounted for in future convictions.

Due to the ruling, Clearfield County will no longer be offering this program until the state corrects this law.
