CLEARFIELD – Maintenance work on several bridges owned by Clearfield County has been approved by the Board of County Commissioners at their final meeting of 2025.
Not only did the commissioners vote to award a half-million dollar bid for bridge scour protection work next year on three or four county-owned bridges, but they also approved the “encumbrance” of $50,000 for a future repair project on the Bloomington Avenue Bridge in Curwensville. While there is not a timeline for the Bloomington Avenue Bridge project, encumbering the money will prevent it from being returned to the state.
