SHARE NOW

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough Council has approved and signed the charter agreement and by-laws establishing the Clearfield Regional Police Commission.

During Thursday’s special meeting a proposal was made that $30,000 of CARES Act funds be designated for the newly formed commission.

The council will consider that proposal at its regular meeting next week when the 2023 budget and tax rate is discussed.

The Clearfield Regional Police Commission is the consolidated law enforcement departments of Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township.

Plans are for the consolidated police force to become active in January.
