CLEARFIELD – At its Monday meeting, the Clearfield Area School Board approved the Act 1 tax resolution for the 2023-24 school year, which means that taxes cannot be increased more than 5.7 percent in the district next year.
The school district also heard good news about its annual audit report … there were no discrepancies found in last year’s financial statements.
According to the audit report, the Clearfield School District has a balance of more than $16.4 million.
Less than half of that amount is available to be spent at the board’s discretion.
Nearly $1.4 million of that total must be spent on capital projects.
