PIKE TOWNSHIP – Police are investigating a Facebook rental scam.
On August 6th police responded to reports of a theft. The victim told police they responded to a Facebook apartment ad in the Clearfield area from a person claiming to be Joseph Ndbonagh, who asked them to send the application fee and security deposit payments via apple gift cards.
After sending the money, the scammer ceased all contact.
Police are still investigating.
