
CLEARFIELD – Shortly after 2023 begins, a new regional police force will be ready to hit the streets in Clearfield and Lawrence Township.
The police departments of the borough and township have been working on completing the process of consolidation during the past nine months.
There will be 19 full-time officers serving in the new Clearfield Regional Police Force with Vincent McGinnis as the chief, and Julie Curry as the assistant chief.
The regional department’s headquarters will be in the current Lawrence Township Building on the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway.
