DUBOIS – Dozens of people scattered around DuBois Saturday to help keep the community a little cleaner.
Setting out early, volunteers covered parks, streets, and public spaces, making them a little brighter and a lot cleaner.
Connor Thompson, a DuBois High School Senior, and Pennsylvania Beautiful Youth Ambassador says that this goes beyond just picking up trash, it’s about what happens if it is ignored.
“This trash goes down into our stormways, it goes into our drains, it goes into places that we enjoy, you don’t want to be seeing trash along the side of the road,” explained Thompson.
Even if you missed the cleanup this past weekend, you can still do your part, whether that’s by picking up, speaking out, or spreading awareness, to help keep your home beautiful.
