CLARION – A Clarion man is facing homicide charges after allegedly killing a DuBois woman.
On November 5th police responded to a Main Street apartment in Clarion where they found 45 year-old Rachel Roman dead with a large knife in hand.
A witness allegedly told police that 34 year-old Chase Steigerwald had killed Roman before washing off the blood and placing the knife in the victim’s hand to make it look like a suicide.
After investigation, police allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia in the apartment and blood residue in the sink.
Steigerwald, who was jailed for a different drug charge, is now facing criminal homicide charges. He remains housed at the Clarion County Jail.
