CLARION – Charges of aggravated and simple assault are pending against a Jefferson County man for allegedly back-handing a corrections officer at the Clarion County Jail.
According to court documents, a preliminary hearing for 25-year-old Dane Kells of Punxsutawney is scheduled for today.
Kells is accused of hitting the officer in August while failing to comply with the officer’s orders to return to his cell.
Kells remains an inmate at the Clarion County Jail.
His bail for this latest case against him is set at $2,500.
