City of DuBois receives update on forensic financial audit

DUBOIS – An update on the upcoming forensic financial audit of the City of DuBois was presented at Monday night’s city council meeting.

Acting City Manager Chris Nasuti reported there are four firms currently bidding to perform the audit.

The Department of Communities and Economic Development will soon hire the firm, and it will take approximately nine to 12 months for the audit to be completed.

At one point during the public comments portion of the meeting, City Solicitor Toni Cherry made these comments regarding contract documents former DuBois City Manager Ron Tryzna said are missing …

It was also annnounced at Monday’s meeting that the 10 person DuBois/Sandy Township Joint Board will resume meetings on May 22nd.

Meanwhile, all other consolidation meetings have been suspended.
