DuBois, PA – The City of DuBois was granted $146,897 in CARES Act funding.
Although the money initially comes from the federal government for coronavirus-related expenses, it’s first given to the each state, then counties, which distribute it to cities and towns that need it.
Clearfield County received $7.1 million in CARES Act funds, which stands for Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security.
The CARES Act funding does have certain stipulations, but it can be used to any losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds will not need to be repaid unless it’s found that the money was used improperly.
