Chain saw stolen from locked shed in Burnside Township

Burnside Township, PA – A chain saw was stolen from a Clearfield County man’s shed, damaging the shed door and window in the process.

Sometime either late last Thursday or early Friday, someone broke into a locked 14 by 28 foot shed on Westover Road in Burnside Township (near Westover, south of Mahaffey).

The thief used an unknown object to smash one of the windows.

Once they got inside, the thief stole a Stihl MS 251 18-inch bar chain saw.

They also damaged the ignition switch 2006 Polaris RZR 900 UTV.

While making their escape, the person also heavily damaged the front steel door to the shed.

Police were told the estimated theft and damages totals about $710.

The victim is listed as a 63-year-old Westover man.
