DUBOIS – The City of DuBois welcomed the Holiday Spirit into the area at Friday night’s “Brighten the Night” event.
The annual gathering brings everyone together with loads of booths, christmas caroling, and the meeting of Mr. and Mrs. Clause.
Even with frigid temperatures Friday night, the dozens of attendees warmed the hearts of many, including the event’s organizer and Executive Director of Downtown DuBois Shirley Dahrouge.
“It is a wonderful feeling,” explained Dahrouge. “To see so much community spirit, and people coming out. Especially as cold as it is, and we had a wonderful crowd. The kids were singing, and everybody had a wonderful time.”
Now, you can still see the Christmas tree in the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater, where it will remain until the New Year.
