RIDGWAY – A Canadian man is behind bars after allegedly being caught in a scam attempt.
According to State Police, on September 4th a Ridgway resident was told that their personal information, including social security number, was leaked.
They were then instructed to give $20,000 dollars in cash to an individual, who would meet the victim at their house.
When the man arrived at the victim’s house, State Police were on site to apprehend the scammer.
The man was later identified as 32 year-old Canadian resident Amrit Pal Nmn Aingh. He is currently behind bars in the Elk County Jail.
