Cameron County man killed in one-vehicle Elk County crash


Jay Township, PA – A Cameron County man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Elk County yesterday.

64-year-old Wayne Johnson from Driftwood had been driving his Toyota Tundra along Route 555 in Jay Township just after 9 a.m. Monday.

He lost control for unknown reasons, left the roadway, struck a utility pole, continued down an embankment, and ended striking several trees.

Johnson had been wearing a seat belt and his airbags deployed, but he suffered fatal injuries during the crash.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the cause is still ongoing.
