BROOKVILLE – A California man has been jailed after allegedly stealing a commercial shipment of copper.
According to police, they received a call from a trucking and logistics company that was tracking the alleged stolen shipment through a pair of Air-Pods as it traveled down Interstate 80.
After performing a traffic stop, the truck pulled into the TA Traveler Center in Brookville. Police were able to identify the driver as 37 year-old Arman Karapetyan of California.
During the investigation authorities learned the shipment was stolen out of Ohio on February 10th and contained around $235,000 dollars worth of copper.
Karapetyan was then taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony receiving stolen property charges.
