Paint Township, PA – Two people from California led local police on a 20-mile high-speed car chase through Clarion and Jefferson Counties.
45-year-old David Vasquez and 39-year-old Jenny Hodge, both from California, were in a vehicle that police attempted to pull over on Interstate 80 in Paint Township, Clarion County, on Tuesday morning.
They sped away, leading police for 20 miles before finally crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of I-80 and Route 28 in Jefferson County.
The two fled on foot for a short distance before being captured by police.
Troopers found that Vasquez had 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine on him and was wanted in the state of California.
The car that they had been driving was also stolen from a 39-year-old woman in Palm Springs, California.
Both Vasquez and Hodge are currently in the Clarion County Jail, awaiting their extradition and preliminary hearing.
