CLEARFIELD – Both lanes of the busy “Golden Rod” bridge on Route 322 in Lawrence Township are now open.
PennDOT reopened the heavily-used Clearfield County bridge on Tuesday morning. Traffic flow across the bridge had been reduced to a single lane, alternating pattern since June as crews worked on a preservation project.
PennDOT officials say that maintenance crews will return to the “Golden Rod” bridge in the spring of 2024 to complete barrier repairs, and for final paving work.
The $1.2-million project includes repairs and improvements to the bridge’s steel structure, railing and barrier, strip seals, drainage, and the surface.
