BROCKWAY – A 23-year-old Brookville woman has been jailed and is facing various charges, including attempted first-degree murder, after she allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend multiple times.
State Police say Paige Lander was hiding in the back seat of the victim’s car and attacked him as he tried to leave for work from his Brockway home Thursday morning.
The 20-year-old man reportedly was able to fend off Lander’s attack and convince her to let him go.
He was treated at Penn Highlands DuBois for stab wounds to his head, lip, neck, hands, and fingers.
The victim told police that he and Lander were dating, but broke up about eight months ago.
He also said that she has sent him hundreds of messages since the breakup.
State Police arrested Lander at her residence later Thursday morning, and they reportedly found a knife in her vehicle as well as bloodstains on her clothing.
Lander is in the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $400,000.
She awaits a preliminary hearing on three felony and three misdemeanor charges.
