BROOKVILLE – A Brookville woman and Falls Creek man are facing charges for allegedly taking a vehicle without permission.
On September 13th, State Police out of DuBois received a report of a stolen vehicle from Egypt Road in Brookville.
The victim told police that his 2022 green Chevrolet Silverado was parked outside of the residence. He told police that the homes owner, 28 year-old Tesla Zerbe of Brookville, had kicked him out of the property and informed him she had his truck repossessed five days earlier.
The victim believed this statement until he saw his truck at a Falls Creek residence.
The occupant of the residence, 38 year-old Allan Smiley of Falls Creek, allegedly told police that he and the victim brought the truck there. However, his story repeatedly changed throughout the encounter.
Both Zerbe and Smiley are facing multiple charges related to the incident including felony unlawful taking.
