BROOKVILLE – A homeless man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a semi-truck from a Brookville hotel parking lot.
On Monday, police were called to the Rodeway Inn Hotel after receiving reports that a brown 2022 Kenworth truck with no trailer was allegedly stolen after the driver started it to let the truck warm up.
After going back into the hotel a man, later identified as 36 year-old Colin Standefer got into the truck and drove off towards I-80.
Pennsylvania State Police were later able to spot the truck and conducted a traffic stop, where they then placed Standefer into custody.
He is now at the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony theft charges.
