BROOKVILLE – A Brookville man is behind bars after allegedly strangling a woman during a domestic dispute.
According to police, a verbal confrontation occurred between the victim and 39 year-old David Allen. The argument escalated when the victim allegedly threw a cup at him. Allen then allegedly shoved her onto a bed and held her down while placing his hands on her throat.
Troopers noticed visible marks on her neck and right cheek. When questioned Allen stated that he placed his hand on her shoulder causing the marks.
He was then taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces simple assault and strangulation charges.
