Brookville Econ Students Raising Money Through School Project

BROOKVILLE – Brookville Economics Seniors held their annual Wheelers and Dealers event Wednesday, raising money and learning life lessons.

The event, which has been running for over 20 years, had seniors create and market their homemade creations.

As we walked around the event, our crews spoke to the students and their hardships with mass producing and marketing their items, a point that their economics teacher, Nancee Miles, was trying to prove.

“I’m hopeful that they realize that entrepreneurial jobs for them in the future might be something that they like or don’t like,“ explained Miles. “Then they’ll know as they go into this next step and they’ll have an idea of what they want to do.”

Students and members of the public were able to buy play money to purchase the student’s creations. All funds gathered were used as a fundraiser for the senior class.
