BROOKVILLE – The former manager of the Brookville Dollar General is facing charges after allegedly stealing from the store.
According to police, 44 year-old Rebecca Thomas was allegedly shown in a recording on March 31st at the Brookville location taking $2,307 dollars from a deposit pouch. She was meant to take it to the bank, however that allegedly did not happen. A similar occurrence happened on April 10th.
When questioned, Thomas allegedly claimed she was not in the right headspace and did not know where the money was.
On August 13th, Thomas was officially charged with felony theft by unlawful taking.
