Brockway, PA – Brockway’s Class of 2021 graduated one week ago at Varischetti Field, which was the third venue in as many years.

The Class of 2019 had the traditional Brockway graduation in the high school auditorium, but the COVID-19 Pandemic gave the Class of 2020 the opportunity to graduate at Moonlite Drive-In Theatre.

The ceremony included a speech by Student Council Representative Karissa Holt, who summed up the experiences of the Class of 2021. Then Valedictorian Ben Glasl thanked the people who helped the Class of 2021 get to graduation.

Superintendent Jeff Vizza addressed the class, focusing on perseverance. He said that the students and the community worked together to get to graduation. Brockway had very few days where all students had to learn remotely, so the Class of 2021 was spared the shortened senior year the Class of 2020 had. Vizza then announced that the students earned nearly $525,000 in scholarships from private donors and the colleges they are attending.

The ceremony ended with fireworks over Varischetti Field.
