DUBOIS – Parents of Brockway Area School District students have a new option of a virtual doctor visit if their child gets sick or injured while in school.
Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois has partnered with the Brockway schools to offer My School Health Now which will allow the school nurse to connect and communicate with a Penn Highlands physician through telemedicine video to have a student evaluated.
Some of the common at-school conditions which can be evaluated this way include earaches, fever and rashes, abrasions, headaches, and pinkeye.
All Brockway students are eligible to be enrolled in the My School Health Now program by their parents or guardians.
Virtual behavioral health visits will also be available with this new Penn Highlands DuBois and Brockway schools’ program.
