Brockway, PA – The December meeting of the Brockway Borough Council had a few missing members and no visitors, but the business of the borough still got done. The main action at the December meeting was approving the 2021 budget, which has no tax increase.

Mayor Bill Hrinya praised the work of the borough police department, who have added patrols to the community and helped out at the tree lighting event. He said that the department received a $15,000 grant to put computers in the police cars.

The fire department responded to 16 calls since last meeting, with only one of those in the borough. The department has been to 127 calls for the year.

With the year winding down and Christmas around the corner, Mayor Hrinya wished the community a Merry Christmas and a safe 2021.

The council will meet again January 5.
