Horton Township, PA – A Brockport man lost more than $40,000 in a wire transfer fraud.
The unnamed 65-year-old man reported the fraud incident of March 13 to State Police in Ridgway.
He sent one wire transfer for $8,000 and another wire transfer for $32,655.65.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police warn to never send money to someone who you do not know personally. If you have questions about whether something might be a scam, reach out to your local police for their advice before sending any info or money.
