Lawrence Township, PA – The man who shot and killed a woman near Clearfield last month has reportedly died from self-inflicted injuries.

36-year-old Anthony Boone had been captured after a massive search when he fled, still armed, from the scene of the shooting.

When police found him and approached him, Boone shot himself in the chest. He was taken to the hospital, but police are now giving the update that Boone has been taken off of his ventilator and has died as a result of those injuries.

He could have been facing first degree murder charges, with the likely eventual sentence of life in prison or even potentially the death penalty. However, the courts never got the chance to decide on his case.

The victim of the fatal shooting, 40-year-old Rebecca Solt, leaves behind three children, ages 19, 12, and 5. Her family set up a page where you can donate to help support the cost of raising the kids.

Family members of the victim say she had a PFA against Boone and has suffered abuse from him before, and he had previously threatened to shoot her. They say a failure in the court system allowed Boone to know Solt’s current address, where she was shot and killed.

Family members of Rebecca Solt are raising money to pay for her funeral expenses, lawyer expenses if needed to fight the courts for negligence of releasing her addressing, and funds for raising her children.
