UNDATED – A new bill in Pennsylvania, if approved, would push the opening day of firearms deer season to the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Supporters of Senate Bill 1244 say the current Saturday opener has hurt small businesses since the Pennsylvania Game Commission made the change in 2019.
Similar legislation has been introduced before, but has failed to advance.
