PIKE TOWNSHIP – A false bank scam has swindled $10,000 dollars from a Clearfield woman.
According to police, the scammer contacted the victim claiming to be the bank needing their username and password for online banking.
After gaining the information, the scammer then took $10,000 dollars from the victim’s bank account.
Police say that your bank would never ask for your passwords and to keep mindful of scam attempts.
