CLEARFIELD – The state-level criminal charges against suspended DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio have been dropped.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office officially withdrew those charges in Clearfield County Court on Tuesday.

Suplizio and a former city employee, Bobbie Shaffer, were indicted by a federal grand jury on November 16th. Suplizio and Shaffer now face federal fraud and conspiracy charges.

If found guilty, both Suplizio and Shaffer could face 45 years in prison, and fines in excess of $1-million.
