CLEARFIELD – If you have a license plate that’s hard to read because it’s faded, peeling, or has lost its reflectivity, you can soon get it replaced for free in Elk and Clearfield counties.

State Representatives Mike Armanini and Dallas Kephart are partnering with local law enforcement to help replace PA license plates that have become difficult to read.

On Wednesday, August 7th , there will be a license plate inspection at the St. Marys Middle School along South St. Marys Road from 4 to 6pm. Then on Wednesday, August 14th, there will be an inspection at the Curwensville Community Center along Stadium Drive in Curwensville, also from 4 to 6.

If your license plate qualifies for replacement, the appropriate paperwork will be completed for you on site and submitted to PennDOT free of charge.
