
UNDATED – Candidates seeking to run for office will soon be circulating petitions, we will break down for you all the races and candidate information.
According to Dave Glass with the Clearfield County Election Board, petitions for candidates will be circulating as soon as next Tuesday.
“They can start to circulate the petitions next Tuesday, which is February 18th,“explained Glass. “They have to complete that by Tuesday March 11th. From then we’ll take the petitions, put them on the ballot and the Primary is May 20th
Currently for County Offices Controller, Sheriff , Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts, and Court of Common Pleas Judge are up for election. School Directors are up for elections. Borough Offices like Mayor, Tax Collector, Council, and Auditors are up for election. Township Offices like Tax Collector, Supervisors, and Auditors. Precincts are looking for Judge of Election and Inspectors of Election. In DuBois, they are looking for seven members of council and City Treasurer.
If you are thinking about seeking office, county positions will cost $100 dollars to file a petition, city offices will be $25 dollars with both needing over 100 signatures from the same party for each candidate’s petition.
