DUBOIS – A Route 219 bridge has been renamed in honor of former Pennsylvania State Trooper.

The bridge, which spans across Pentz Run on the DuBois/Sandy Township border was renamed after First Class Brad Wilson who was critically wounded by gunfire in 2013 when attempting to serve a search warrant in Jefferson County.

We spoke with PA State Police Corporal Rob McGarvey, who through teary eyes congratulated Trooper Wilson.

“Just the honor and glory to god, but we get to honor a living hero, a god-sized miracle, and what a way but to put his name on a bridge for that,” said McGarvey.

Wilson, who had served in the United States Air Force for three years, was stationed in the PA State Police DuBois Barracks.
