Treasure Lake, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania has started fire hydrant installation in Treasure Lake, part of Sandy Township.
Aqua Pennsylvania leaders, Treasure Lake community leaders, state, township and local officials, and emergency responders gathered together for the celebration of the first of what could be up to 100 fire hydrants that will be installed.
The installation of fire hydrants, which will be ongoing for several months, will provide fire protection service for the more than 2,200 Aqua customers located in the Treasure Lake community. The hydrants will also help Aqua to maintain water quality in the community by serving as flushing points throughout the water distribution system.
Aqua, Treasure Lake’s water and wastewater provider, has partnered with the community for the past eight years to invest in new water sources, water storage tanks and main replacements to improve the safety and reliability of the community’s water system.
