DUBOIS – The American Red Cross is in the Priority First Credit Union’s Community Spotlight for the month of January.
This month is designated the National Volunteer Blood Donor Month to increase awareness of blood donation for the nation’s leading blood donation organizations. The American Red Cross as well as America’s Blood Centers are encouraging first-time and regular donors to make a difference in their communities by scheduling an appointment to give blood sometime during January. Remember, just one pint of blood can help save up to three lives.
The next American Red Cross blood drives in the Tri-County area will be next Tuesday, January 9th, in DuBois and Reynoldsville. The American Legion on Liberty Boulevard in DuBois will host a blood drive Tuesday from Noon to 5pm. St. Mary’s Church on Main Street in Reynoldsville will also host a blood drive Tuesday with the same 12pm to 5pm time frame.
More information about the American Red Cross, donating blood, and where to find regional blood drives is available online at redcrossblood.org.
