DUBOIS – it Is time to mark your calendars for two opportunities to help save a life by donating blood in the Tri-County area on Thursday.

In the DuBois area, the American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at the Parkside Community Center from 1 to 6 p.m.

Meanwhile in Reynoldsville, the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 12 to 5:30 p.m.

With a recent drop in blood donation appointments that could lead to fewer transfusions, the American Red Cross is asking you to help by donating blood.

The American Red Cross reports type O blood donors are especially needed to ensure a strong blood supply.
