PHILIPSBURG – An altercation at a local immigration center led to four injured Monday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE, an incident occurred at the GEO Moshannon Valley Processing Center.
According to an ICE spokesperson, the altercation occurred in the West Yard at approximately 2:05 p.m.
Staff were able to quickly contain the situation, and four were transported to an outside medical facility for additional non life-threatening treatment.
There were no injuries to staff requiring outside medical attention.
The incident is currently under investigation, and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
