Additional charges filed in 4th of July stabbing

DUBOIS – Criminal charges have now been filed against both men involved in the fight and stabbing that took place at the Treasure Lake Campground during the 4th of July weekend.

On Friday, Sandy Township Police charged 51-year-old Joseph Brody Jr. of Loyalhanna with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. Brody was stabbed by 47-year-old Bart Thompson of Pittsburgh, who faces similar charges for the fight.

The stab wound to Brody’s neck reportedly required 11 surgical staples to close.

Both men have a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 12th.
