Additional charges are being filed against Suspended DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio according to the Attorney General’s office. They will do so in the next 15 days. Suplizio was in court today for a judicial conference. In March Suplizio was arrested for allegedly stealing over $600,000 from the city of DuBois.
Meanwhile, a group of news organizations is asking a county judge to make public a key document in the corruption case against Suplizio. The news outlets, including Spotlight PA, Lancaster Online, WITF and WESA, are petitioning the judge who oversaw the grand jury investigation into Suplizio to unseal the document which gives the details on why criminal charges were filed by the State Attorney General’s Office. As of today, Suplizio has been accused by the state of 15 criminal counts for allegedly stealing more than $620,000 in DuBois area taxpayer and nonprofit organization funds.
